Influenza is a disease that can potentially lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently. Although millions of people get the flu every year, many are hospitalized. The healthiest of people can also get very sick from the flu. Getting the flu vaccine is a great way to assist in doing your part against spreading the disease and reducing your risk.

What are Pre-Op Examinations?

Pre-op examinations are general systems examination that should identify obvious abnormalities. Below is a small sample list of exams used at our clinic.

• Cardiovascular system - heart murmur.
• Respiratory system - abnormal breath sounds.
• Gastrointestinal system - abdominal masses, previous scars.
• Musculoskeletal system - skeletal malformations such as kyphoscoliosis.
• General - local skin infection.

What is Continuity of Care?

Continuity of care is concerned with quality of care over time. It is the process by which the patient and our care team are cooperatively involved in ongoing health care management toward the shared goal of high quality, cost-effective medical care.
